On July 21, 245 experts were appointed to serve as the 5^th Research and Analysis Committee members until July 20, 2016.

The Research and Analysis Committee was first launched based on the National Assembly Research Service Research and Analysis Committee Foundation and Operations Bylaw. During the term, members will provide advice and suggestions at the request of individual researchers related to their research request, proactive research, and analysis. Members will perform under non-disclosure and confidentiality.

The committee consists of experts from academia, research institutes, and the private sector. Through the work of this committee NARS expects to build professional network and improve the quality of research requests.
