On December 26, 2013 the National Assembly Research Service (NARS) closed its 10,000th research request from the National Assembly members. While 10,000 research requests had been carried out in a period of 27 months-from May 30, 2008 to August 30, 2010-under the 18th National Assembly, NARS took eight fewer months to record this milestone under the 19th National Assembly. The annual research request rose by 43% compared to that of 18th National Assembly, adding up to 528 requests per month.

Since its launch, NARS has seen a steady quantitative increase in the number of legislative research requests, a situation indicative of NARS's active support of assembly members' legislative and policy developments. As of January 9, 2014, bills proposed in the 19th National Assembly were estimated at 7,893-about 60% of the total research request, which was 12,220 in the 18th National Assembly.
