NARS held its opening ceremony for the New Year on January 2, 2014 at the main conference hall. Chief of NARS, Dr. Koh Hyun-wook, awarded staff members who have shown outstanding commitment in publishing reports, participating in group activities, and completing various other legislative work.

Since its launch in 2007, NARS has responded to thousands of research requests and published more than 1,000 reports, showing a commendable increase in quantity. NARS also worked on improving the quantity of services it provides and as a result has been recognized as a leading think tank.

In his New Year's speech, Dr. Koh highlighted the expectation of more requests coming from both home and abroad and subsequent need to further develop NARS's individual competency and solidify its team network. As this year marks the 7th anniversary of NARS, demonstrating effort commensurate with NARS's status as a top-tier think tank will be a priority for everyone on staff. Shaking hands with each and every staff member, Dr. Koh encouraged everyone to do their best this year.
