The House Steering Committee's parliamentary audit into the National Assembly Research Service took place on November 6, 2013. During the annual parliamentary audit, the chief of the NARS explained how the organization has been fulfilling its role as a research arm of the National Assembly. For the last six years, NARS has responded to 26,000 research requests, published 1,000 reports, and held 150 seminars as a legislative support organization.

Overall, increasing members' satisfaction, introducing or reviewing the *Regulatory Impact Analysis, and promoting high-ranking female employees were pointed out as necessary measures that NARS has to take. Particularly, the committee requested that NARS be able to provide more detailed legislative information on national defense by hiring an additional researcher to absorb the increased requests.

During its six years of operation, the National Assembly Research Service regularly reviews and evaluates the comments and recommendations mentioned during the annual audit so it may further improve its operations and productivity.
