On July 8, the National Assembly Research Service (NARS) held a ceremony to commemorate its response to the 40,000th legislative research request. This achievement comes after only eight years and seven months since NARS's establishment in 2007. This can be explained by the fact that the demand for legislative resources has been rapidly growing as members' legislations have increased since the 18th National Assembly.
The commemoration ceremony was attended by key figures, including the Speaker of the National Assembly, the Secretary-General, the Chief Librarian of the National Assembly, and the Chief of the National Assembly Budget Office.
In addition, Lawmaker Min Kyung-wook (The Saenuri Party, Incheon Yeonsu-gu Eul district), who made the 40,000th legislative research request, and Lawmaker Min Byung-du (The Minjoo Party, Seoul Dongdaemun-gu Eul district), who received the 40,000th response, attended the ceremony and encouraged the staffs.
