 On May 13, NARS, with Hankook Ilbo, jointly held a seminar on ¡°Policy Agenda for the 20th National Assembly¡± at the NARS main conference hall.

At the seminar, the NARS Advisory Committee composed of experts in various fields discussed major policy agenda for the 20th National Assembly in the areas of politics and administration, foreign affairs and national security, economics, employment and labor, and health and welfare.

Speaker Chung Ui-hwa offered his congratulatory remarks and Chief of NARS (Dr. Lim Seong-ho) served as moderator. Presentations were delivered by Professor Kim Hyung-joon (Myongji University) on politics and administration; Professor Park Keon-young (Catholic University of Korea) on unification, foreign affairs, and national security; Professor Gu Jeong-mo (Kangwon National University) on economics; Professor Kim Hyo-seon (Chung-ang University) on employment, labor, and family; and Professor Yoon Myung-sook (Chonbuk National University) on health and welfare.

During the general discussion session, Goh Kye-hyun (Secretary General of Citizens¡¯ Coalition for Economic Justice), Seong Han-yong (Senior Reporter of Hankyoreh Newspaper), Lee In-seob (Director of Economy and Industry Research Office, NARS), Jeong Seong-hee (Director of Society and Culture Research Office, NARS), and Kim Young-il (Counsel for Politics and Administration Research, NARS) participated as panelists and shared diverse perspectives on how to deal with social issues such as economic recession, youth unemployment, and inter-Korean relations.
