NARS Hosts Seminar on 'Political Confrontations: Toward Prevention and Mitigation'
 On May 11, NARS hosted a seminar on ¡°Political Confrontations: Toward Prevention and Mitigation¡± at the National Assembly Members¡¯ Building Seminar Hall #2.

Speaker Chung Ui-hwa opened the event with congratulatory remarks. This forum took place to bring awareness to the issue of intense political confrontations and cleavage within Korean politics, and to seek politics based on dialogue and compromise as an alternative.

Dr. Lim Seong-ho, the Chief of NARS, and Professor Chae Jin-won of Kyunghee University each presented on the topics of ¡°Factionalism within Political Party: Current Issues and Implications¡± and ¡°Political Polarization in Conflicts within South Korea and Moderate Political Ideology,¡± respectively.

A diverse panel of experts on Korean politics from both liberal and conservative sides actively participated in the discussions, emphasizing roles and responsibilities of major political actors including the National Assembly to break away from the confrontation and conflict and to promote reconciliation and integration in Korean politics.
