On 6 November, the National Assembly Research Service (NARS) celebrated the 7th anniversary of its founding. NARS was established in 2007 to provide the country with an independent and professional information system, and to conduct legislative research and analysis at the request of members and committees.

The commemoration ceremony was attended by key figures, including the Speaker of the National Assembly, the Secretary-General, the Librarian of the National Assembly, and the Director of the National Assembly Budget Office. When delivering the congratulatory address, Speaker Chung Eui-hwa requested NARS ¡°to reinforce its professionalism and become a renowned institution like the Congressional Research Service (CRS) in the United States.¡±

Dr. Lim Seong-ho, the Chief of NARS, encouraged the staff to ¡°make constant efforts because the capacity-building of NARS will lead to the empowerment of the National Assembly.¡±
