On May 8, NARS hired five legislative researchers and research assistants.

The successful applicants are as follows: Kim Ye-kyung, legislative researcher of foreign affairs and national security team; Noh Mi-ri, legislative researcher of public finance and economy team; Choi Jin-eung, legislative researcher of science, media and telecommunications team; Song Si-hyun, legislative research assistant of science, media and telecommunications team; and Lee Hye-kyung, legislative researcher of environment and labor team.

Legislative researcher Kim Ye-kyung who is in charge of the national defense and military affairs, is a doctor of international politics; researcher Choi Jin-eung, who is in charge of new media, is a doctor of new media policy; and researcher Lee Hye-kyung, who is in charge of the environmental law and environmental disputes, is a doctor of environmental law. Researcher Noh Mi-ri (in charge of tax policy) and research assistant Song Si-hyun (in charge of media and the Internet) are both lawyers.

On May 13, they completed the Basic Training for the Newly Appointed - the training program which covers the role and position of public officials in the legislature; the operation of the National Assembly and composition and function of institutions supporting the National Assembly; and details of the activities of legislative research, analysis and response - to develop their qualifications as public officials in the legislative branch.
