Greetings and best wishes.
Since August 2013, I began my position as the Director General of the Economy and Industry Research Office in NARS.

It is a great pleasure for me to have this opportunity to work together with so many skilled legislative researchers in NARS, an entity which has grown to become one of the pivots in materializing the knowledge-based National Assembly in less than six years
Over the past years, NARS has fulfilled its role of steadfastly assisting the members of the National Assembly. Today, however, the demand for legislative enhancement from the National Assembly members has sharply increased, placing a new challenge on NARS. Concomitantly, NARS is being asked to strengthen its capabilities and proficiency in providing substantial and concrete solutions for issues raised and in aiding their realization in the process of legislation.

To meet these challenges, I hope to take a lead in establishing conditions favorable for legislative researchers and enable them to accomplish their missions with passion and responsibility. I also hope that my efforts will contribute to NARS becoming a problem solver that can help change people's lives in a better way.

Once again, it is my great pleasure to be a part of this effort to improve NARS so that it can better serve the National Assembly members and provide solutions for our people.

As our efforts continue, I look forward to receiving help and advice from you, my peer legislative researchers.

Sincerely,
Kim Kiheung
Director General, Economy and Industry Research Office, NARS
