• #1 Inspection of State Administration Report • Published : August 30, 2013 • Summary: To prepare for this year's state administration inspection, the National Assembly Research Service issued a report in three volumes on major issues to be covered during 2013 inspection period. The report was published on August 30 to assist the Members and their aides in undertaking the inspection. • #2 NARS Report • Title - Policies to Narrow the Gap between Large and Small Enterprises • Published : August 1, 2013 • Author : Park Choong Ryul (researcher; Industry and Resources Team), Lee Geon Mook (researcher; Legislation and Judiciary Team), Heo Won (researcher; Public Finance and Economy Team) • Summary : Economic indicators bluntly show the widened gap between large and small enterprises in terms of business activities and performances. To bridge this gap, both the government and the National Assembly have made an effort by introducing various provisions, amending existing competition laws and improving enforcement system. This report particularly elaborates on the progress made and problems revealed during the process of making competitive environment and a level playing field for SMEs. On September 5, Dr. Koh Hyun Wook (Chief of NARS), Park Jae Kyu (President of Kyungnam University), Geo-suk Suh (President of Jeonbuk University) and Jung Sang-Chul (President of Chungnam National University) co-hosted a seminar on In Search of a Development Strategy for Regional Universities.
