Joint Seminar on Reinforcement of Accident Countermeasure for Safe Medication Use
 On Wednesday, December 12, 2018, NARS held a joint seminar with Kim Sang-hee (Congresswoman of the Democratic Party of Korea), Kim Soon-rye (Congresswoman of the Liberty Korea Party), and Cho Chan-hwi (President of the Korean Pharmaceutical Association) on 'Reinforcement of Accident Countermeasure for Safe Medication Use' at the Main Conference Hall of the National Assembly Research Service.

NARS hosted the seminar in response to accidents in medication use and the need to draw up measures to provide safely medicine to socially disadvantaged groups.

During the opening ceremony, Chief of NARS Lee Nae-young gave opening remarks, with remarks provided by Congresswomen Kim Sang-hee and Kim Soon-rye.

Lee Man-woo (Director of the Health, Welfare, Family and Gender Equality Team, NARS) served as emcee for the seminar. Kim Yoo-mi (Director at the Pharmaceutical Safety Bureau, Ministry of Food and Drug Safety) introduced "System to Respond to Crisis of Safety Accidents in Medication Use", while Han Eun-ah (Professor at Yonsei University) discussed the "Current Status of Socially Disadvantaged Group's Medication Use and Healthcare and Medical Service."

Prominent invitees actively participated in the follow-up discussions: Kim Jun-hyun (President of Health World Network), Eom Seung-in (Director at Korea Medicine Bio Committee), Lee Mo-sae (Director at the Headquarter of Patients Safety Drug Management, Korea Pharmacist Committee), Ji Gwang-seok (Director at Judiciary Research Team, Korea Consumer Agency), Choi Eun-taek (Director general at Hit News), and Kim Eun-jin (Legislative Researcher at the Health, Welfare, Family and Gender Equality Team, NARS).
