The school safety refers to the state that students do not experience any accidents or risks in school life. It has a wide range of varieties from school violence， school meals， school health， to negligent accidents. This report presents plans for improvement by examining current states and problems focusing on facilities for school safety， control over outsiders， and cleanup zone of school surroundings. Detailed plans for improvement are as follows.

First， it is required to increase in manpower and facilities to have a control over outsiders， and to arrange regulations. To protect students and staff from outsiders and accidents， schools shall have suitable areas issuing visitors’ passes， and responsible people. Also， schools shall have proper regulations to control visitors without authorities.

Second， low-powered cctvs set at primary， middle and high schools shall be replaced to high-powered cctvs. The system that a number of primary schools having cctvs connected to local integrated control centers shall be expanded throughout the whole country.

Third， Committees for school environment hygiene and purification shall have objective standards to evaluate and deliberate hazardous facilities and sites. Also， when it comes to the hazardous facilities established around schools， heads of relevant authorities shall actively be involved in to confirm the efficacy.

Fourth， currents provisions on school safety including those under the Elementary and Secondary Education Act， Act on the Prevention of and Countermeasures against Violence in Schools， and the School Health Act shall be integrated under one Act regarding school safety. The Act shall act as the basis to establish the school safety.
