On November 20, a day before the 5th International Seminar for Parliamentary Research Services, Dr. Kazem Jalali-a four-term MP and head of the Islamic Parliament of Iran Research Center (IPIRC)-visited NARS to meet with Dr. Lim Seong-ho. Dr. Mohammad Hassan Maadi Roudsari, director general of Coordinating and Planning Department, and Mr. Seyed Hashemi, director of International Department, accompanied Dr. Jalali.

Previously, Dr. Jalali participated in last year's 4th International Seminar for Parliamentary Research Services as a moderator. This visit makes his second visit to NARS. Last June, Dr. Jalali invited the Chief of NARS to Iran. A NARS delegation visited the IPIRC where they signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) and hosted a joint seminar.

During the meeting, Dr. Jalali and his staff were particularly interested in the changing roles of parliamentary research services, Korea-Iran economic cooperation, and culture exchanges between the two countries.

After meeting with NARS staff, Dr. Jalali invited the Chief of NARS to Iran. NARS expects the relationship between NARS and IPIRC to further grow.
